A Forum for Local Government Researchers, Practitioners and Policymakers



The Rockefeller Institute of Government, in partnership with the New York State Association of Counties, hosted the 3rd Annual Research and Practice in Progress Briefing on Local Government in New York on Tuesday, November 14, 2017.

The forum brought researchers and practitioners from around the state to assess the challenges and opportunities facing local governments, including:

  • Municipal responses to the state’s tax cap
  • Models and concepts to assist local decision-makers and managers
