What Federal Health Care Reform Means for
State and Local Governments

Speakers at this forum discussed the potential impacts of federal health reform on state and local governments. This question-and-answer session followed presentations by Timothy J. Hoff, associate professor in the Department of Health Policy, Management, and Behavior at the University at Albany's School of Public Health on health reform legislation before Congress; Wendy Saunders, New York State deputy secretary for Health, Medicaid, and Oversight, who spoke about the state's position on the various congressional proposals; and John W. Rodat, Albany County Commissioner of Management and Budget, who discussed the possible impacts of health reform legislation on the county.
