Speakers at this forum discussed the potential impacts of federal health reform on state and local governments. Following a presentation by Timothy J. Hoff, an associate professor at the University at Albany's School of Public Health, on congressional health reform proposals, Saunders spoke about the state's position on various aspects of those proposals. She was followed by John W. Rodat, Albany County Commissioner of Management and Budget, who discussed the possible impacts of health reform legislation on the county.
