Public Policy Forum to Address How New York Will Implement Health Reform
Event scheduled for June 8 at the Rockefeller Institute
Albany, N.Y. — The Rockefeller Institute will hold a Public Policy Forum on the topic "How Will New York Implement Health Reform?" on Tuesday, June 8, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Passing health-care reform legislation at the national level was one major hurdle. Implementing the reforms at the state level will be another. Speakers at this Public Policy Forum will discuss the obstacles to implementation in New York, and ways the state may overcome them. The role of local governments will also be discussed.
Scheduled to speak are:
- Dr. James Knickman, President and Chief Executive Officer, New York State Health Foundation
- Honorable Joseph D. Morelle, Chair, New York State Assembly Standing Committee on Insurance
- Robert Doar, Commissioner, New York City Human Resources Administration
Members of the press are invited and encouraged to attend the discussion. To register, contact Michele Charbonneau at charbonm@rockinst.org. or 518-443-5258.
